I was very pleased the way Hollis Morgan conducted the auction sale of a building with mixed use and planning for 4 units. There was very little interest up until 2 days before the auction and I felt we would not sell but then they found a buyer on the day of the auction who made a very good offer and was prepared to sign a contract before the auction. After discussing the offer with the auctioneers I agreed to accept the offer subject to the contract being signed before 3pm on the day of the auction. l was very pleased with the result that the purchaser signed up I am sure it was the right decision as the price agreed was much higher than the proposed reserve I was impressed with the way this sale was conducted and would have no hesitation In recommending them to sell any form of property. They were very professional and when few people had not made enquires they were still enthusiastic that a sale would happen which it did. PS - Bristol

This was my first experience of buying a house in an auction, so I was rather nervous! Hollis Morgan couldn't have made the process any easier. I was at the auction with my sister and my 93 year old father, who will be moving in with me to the property. Lucinda was amazing from the start, both at the auction and afterwards. The following day, she went to a lot of trouble to arrange for me to show my sister and father around the house at very short notice. She was also very helpful in the following weeks. Andrew Morgan was extremely helpful on the day prior to the auction by researching details of the leasehold agreement, calling me back and emailing me several times. To be honest I have to say that when I first spoke to Hollis Morgan I thought I was paying a high price for selling a garage. However they achieved a much better price for me than I think I could possibly have got anywhere else and I was really pleased with the outcome. They where honest with me about the prospects at all times, kept me informed and gave good advice without being pushy. Re: Sale of building land at Rangeworthy The formidable duo of Andrew Morgan and Oliver Hollis of Hollis Morgan are the best in the West. Disillusioned by mediocrity I noticed a SOLD sign on a local building site so I called Hollis Morgan straight away and immediately the duo bounded into action, Plans – Photos – advertising – nothing too much trouble. Courteous quick attention and within a month the site was sold. No Fuss, no bother, no need to look any further, why go any further when you can go to the best, which incidentally costs half the price of similar agencies. Delighted and will use you every time. Really happy with the service from Hollis Morgan. I was a little nervous at putting my property up for sale through auction but upon meeting Oliver Hollis I was immediately put at ease. Oliver was very knowledgeable about the marketplace and I feel that I got as much as was likely in terms of a sale price. Nick Heal was always in contact giving me updates on interest in my property. Eventually, I sold prior to auction and Oliver was exemplary in ensuring that the solicitors got the contracts sorted etc. I doubt there is a more pro-active agent in Bristol. We had to sell my Aunt's house & garage as she had died. The Solicitor said it had to be auctioned. Hollis Morgan were kind, considerate, helpful & got my Aunt's Estate a very good price. Putting a property up for auction - even recommending a client to do so is the ultimate in sales technique and impresses every successful seller. A huge advantage over private treaty when at the fall of the hammer you know that the property is sold and a contract exists. Hollis Morgan's advice was accurate and authoritative, a good working knowledge of its market place and a huge customer base. An ability to reassure Tenant's and Landlord's alike fearful of privacy - for me a smooth and well run organisation. In the auction room - the customary 10 minutes for latecomers allowed - in total silence the well known Andrew took to his rostrum, discreetly removed his ivory gavel from its case, politely introduced himself to the audience, explained the procedures for the evening and called for bids - Lot 1. Lot 28 came within the hour - bids rising quickly from below guidance to the reserve - a sense of relief - bidding continued when not before the fall of the hammer a further £120,000 had been added. My duty to inform my client and she her family - Julia wrote me early this morning -"Did anyone sleep last night because I did not and I have already done my shopping. Within 2 months of my house being 1st viewed by Olly the house is sold for 5k above reserve which is a very fair price. Nick hosted numerous viewings over the period. The peace of mind of knowing that the buyer has put a 10% deposit down prior to completion is worth a k or 2. House advertised on Rightmove etc. So if your house is a bit or very rough, and you don't have the time or money to spend on doing up the house to sell then a Hollis Morgan auction is a great option.
